A week in Florida. August 14th - 21st, 2005.

Dana's folks had gotten Derek and his wife a time-share in Ormond Beach, FL for their honeymoon. With his new job Derek was unable to go - and the rental was going to go to waste. Dana's folks were kind enough to make the offer to Dana and I. For those who don't know, Ormond Beach is right next to Daytona Beach and I went to college (Stetson University) only about 20 miles away. We left NC on Sunday morning and drove down to FL. We stayed in Ormond from Sunday-Thursday, Orlando from Thursday-Saturday, and we got into Ocala Saturday afternoon and left Sunday morning. Some good pics, take a look.

Ahhh yes - we found this gem my sophomore year at Stetson...all you can eat crab legs. Good stuff - we took full advantage on Tuesday evening.

On Saturday we went to Universal's Islands of Adventure for a day at the park. These next two pics were taken in the "Toon Town" section of the park.

Saturday night we went out to City Walk in Universal - a series of bars within the park's grounds...A group of girls from Conn. were quite fond of Dana and pulled her up on stage with them

The day before we had to drive back to North Carolina, Dana and I made a trip to Ocala (where I lived from 2000-2002) to spend the night with Byron, his wife Jennifer, and their son Grant (who is also my Godson)
