Nate Allen. February 2nd, 1916 - July 19th, 2007.

Words here cannot adequately describe what a great man my grandfather was. My grandparents had just celebrated 69 years of marriage in February. After bouncing back from a broken femur a couple of months ago we heard the devastating news this past weekend that he had pancreatic cancer. The Doctors gave him 3-6 months. Thankfully, he did not suffer for long as the cancer claimed him quickly. He took his last breath surrounded by loved ones in his home early this morning. For as long as I can remember he has been an intricate part of my life. Below is a small portion of his time with us over the last few years. We'll miss you Butch.

It was back in '96, our freshman year at Stetson when Butch, annoyed that we had two Jason's on vacation together - declared that Jayson would be 'Juice'. It stuck from there.

 

 

I wish there were sound on this clip. We were all eating at the Diner back in April of 2004 (Lexie was 3 months old) and the clip ends with Butch asking me what I was doing and how it worked.
